On March 20, 2025, the University of Baguio Science High School Student Parliamentary Government (UBSHS SPG) received a donation from the Baguio Water District at UB Science High School. The donation includes five monitors to support the Shaping Potential Areas for Community, Education, and Sustainability (SPACES) project. These monitors will later be turned over to Barangay San Luis Village, further extending the initiative’s community impact.

The SPACES project is a collaborative effort between UBSHS and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, spearheaded by Danielle Abarientos, the Local Government Minister. This initiative is part of UBSHS’s broader efforts to achieve UNESCO ideals, which involves organizing various activities, fundraisers, and partnerships to enhance community engagement and educational sustainability. Tom Iric Donato, the External Affairs Minister, secured the donation after reaching out to the Baguio Water District.

“We are deeply grateful to Engineer Salvador Royeca and the Baguio Water District for their generosity,” said Donato. “Their support is invaluable to our project, and we assure you that all donations will be utilized effectively.”

This partnership underscores the collaboration between UBSHS and local organizations, strengthening community bonds and advancing educational initiatives in Baguio.
