The University of Baguio proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of Science High School (SHS) student Mr. Liam Kendrick Lim at the recently concluded Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad or HKIMO. Mr. Lim won the Silver Medal in the Final Round, and he also secured the Boole Prize for gaining a perfect score in the Logical Thinking round.
About 700 on-site and 1,600 online competitors participated in the Olympiad from 13 different countries and regions. Mr. Lim’s success in the event contributed to the overall achievements of the country, with the Philippines garnering 29 gold awards, 26 silver awards, 29 bronze awards, and 33 merit awards, resulting in the country ranking first overall in the final round held from August 23 to 26, 2024.
