In yet another moment of pride for the University of Baguio Science High School (UBSHS), two remarkable Scouts, Mandy Joie Abarientos and Carl Andrei Moreno, rose to prominence during the prestigious Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Scout Officials for a Day (SOFAD) 2025 event held in Baguio City. This annual program, which allows young Scouts the opportunity to step into the shoes of local government leaders, serves as a testament to the leadership and public service skills instilled by Scouting.

UBSHS Scout Officials For A Day (SOFAD) Activity Highlights
Mandy Joie Abarientos, an outstanding member of UBSHS, was selected to serve as the Acting Vice Mayor of Baguio City, Faustino Atiwag Olowan. In this momentous achievement, the position placed her in a key leadership coordination within the local government for the day. With her calm demeanor, proven professionalism, and impressive grasp of civic duties, Abarientos presided over meetings and actively contributed to policy discussions douring the said event.
Her performance in this role underscored the values of responsibility and leadership that the Boy Scouts of the Philippines strive to instill in their members.
