University of Baguio Science High School Sends Contingent to the 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023 in South Korea

The University of Baguio Science High School has made its mark on the global stage, sending five exceptional student scouts to represent the Cordillera Administrative Region and the Philippines in the prestigious 25th World Scout Jamboree. With an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community engagement, these scouts are poised to embark on a transformative journey in South Korea, celebrating unity and cultural diversity while drawing their dreams for a better world.

In a remarkable achievement, the University of Baguio Science High School proudly sent five of its exceptional student scouts to represent not only the institution but also the entire Cordillera Administrative Region in the 25th World Scout Jamboree. The event, held in SaeManGeum, Jeollabul-do, South Korea, took place from August 1 to 12, 2023.

The University of Baguio (UB) Science High School has always been committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically excellent but also actively engaged in various extracurricular activities. Their emphasis on the development of leadership skills, teamwork, and community involvement has prepared their students for greater challenges, such as this prestigious global scouting event.

The five students selected to participate in the 25th World Scout Jamboree were Mandy Joie S. Abarientos and Dennise Natalie D. Tiburcio, both in grade 9, Kyna Arianne B. Veridiano and Danielle S. Abarientos, both in grade 10, and Sophia Alessia Man L. Valencia, a grade 11 student. These outstanding scouts, along with their adult leader, Ms. Maria Alma Cabunag, were officially chosen as the contingent of the Cordillera Administrative Region and the University of Baguio.

The World Scout Jamboree is an extraordinary event that gathers scouts from different parts of the globe to celebrate unity, friendship, and cultural diversity. It provides a platform for young scouts to engage in various activities that promote physical fitness, environmental awareness, and global citizenship.

For the five students and their faculty leader, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent their region and country on an international stage is a testament to their dedication and commitment to scouting.
